SMARTPLUG DEBUTS ELCI SENSORS AND BREAKERS We’re excited to announce our new line of 30 and 50 Amp ELCI sensors and breakers. This new family of products provides (Equipment Leakage), Ground Fault sensing for the entire boat. The sensor operates in tandem with a calibrated breaker and meets the requirements of ABYC’s E-11 standard for ground fault protection and main shore power circuit protection. The complete package constantly monitors the current balance of the conductors (wires/cables) supplying the power to the load. When a ground fault of 27mA nominal /30 mA max occurs, the sensor signals the breaker to trip. These new products are available in Stainless Steel and Non-Metallic white. These products match the SmartPlug look seen on our inlets, and data ports giving the boat a finished look. Browse our ELCI sensors and breakers here . BM50S | 50 AMP - STAINLESS STEEL INLET AND INLETS MARINE MARKET SmartPlug’s 50A 125V/250V inlets have been designed to be used with 3-wires (125V) or 4-wires (250V) in a single inlet. The inlet connector provides 20X’s more electrical contact area eliminating the overheating conditions seen with twist-type connectors. The solid sleeve connection and weatherproof seal makes it a preferred option. The mounting flange holes match existing inlets so it can be easily installed to replace the old twist-type inlet products in minutes. The inlets are available in stainless steel and three non-metallic colors, (White, Black or Gray), of high performance/flame resistant material. Eliminates Overheating – Increased pin & clip surface area greatly improves electrical conductivity during high amperage demand. Ease of Use – No twisting required, the unique plug body shape and push-in design mean it only goes in the right way every time – even in the dark! Multi-Point Lock

Before departure, check local weather conditions – TV and radio forecasts are a good source of information. If you notice darkening clouds, volatile or rough changing winds, or sudden drops in temperature, be proactive and get off the water. Leave the Alcohol Onshore Never use drugs or alcohol before or during boat operation. You would be surprised by the number of boating accidents caused by

“A ROCK SOLID, WELL-ENGINEERED & CONSTRUCTED DEVICE” Nothing makes us prouder than when we hear from happy SmartPlug users! Check out our latest review from RV enthusiast, John: “You guys are amazing. I received a 50 cord seal kit some time ago and installed the proper size cord seal today. You even included a new gasket with the kit, THANK YOU! Your customer service (which is of utmost importance to me) is World Class too.I read the article about SmartPlug in Trailer Life a couple of years ago and ordered a 50-amp set soon thereafter. The RV industry standard that came with my RV, with its questionable fit and worse connections is cheap junk at best. With 45 years’ experience in the electrical trade, I could surely see the potential of a burned-up connector or a devastating fire.  Read More...
