SmartPlug Debuts Dual Coax and Coax-Ethernet Inlets at Miami International Boat Show 2019

Whether at a dock or campground, it’s a wired world. And with SmartPlug Systems’ new Dual Coax and Coax-Ethernet Inlets, it’s never been easier to connect to a cable TV or Internet data source. The product’s debut at the Miami International Boat Show, Feb. 14–18, booth C349.

The new inlets use SmartPlug’s distinctive asymmetrical stainless steel housing for a unified appearance. The cutout size and hole pattern match industry standards to make installation fast and easy. Internally, the devices utilize the same rugged, weatherproof design and quality materials as the company’s shore power models. Two versions are available, one with dual F-type male coax connectors, the other with one coax and one female Ethernet port.

The innovative SmartPlug system replaces outdated AC shore power connectors. Completely modern, they plug straight in and provide 20 times the metal-to-metal contact than traditional twist-style designs. This provides maximum electrical transfer, resulting in a greatly reduced likelihood of resistance-generated overheating, a leading cause of fires. They’re available in 30 and 50 amps.
